A place where college football fans can talk about their one love. The grid iron. A place where you can smack talk (to a reasonable extent) with fan's of opposing teams. This is pigskin heaven.

Teams that could jump out of nowhere in 2011
1. Notre Dame
2. Miami (Florida)
3. UCF
1. First off, yes Notre Dame could be back. It has been a while but at the end of the season it looked like Brian Kelly has placed the Irish back on the right path. Notre Dame has a lot of returning talent and a decent recruiting class coming in that could be the catalyst for a big turn around. Beating the breaks off of Miami is a plus and could be the mark of a new dynasty for Notre Dame. We'll have to wait and see.
2. Miami has always been a national title contender until the past 5 years. With the firing of Randy Shannon and the hiring of Al Golden many would think it could be another wait for "The U" to get back to national prominence. I say that they are going to be a real contender for the ACC championship in 2011 because Al Golden's plans are looking to motivate a deflated Miami team. With a lot of young talent returning and the only question is the quarterback, I predict Miami to have at the least an 8 win season and a run at the ACC championship.
3. The Knights are coming off an amazing 11 win season and a win over Georgia. UCF is losing a few play makers on offense and defense and along with that are in a weak conference, but they have good coaching and should be able to stack up again to maybe return to a decent bowl next year and possibly in the top 15.

ehhh
ReplyDeleteucf isnt gonna be good in my opinion
notre dame probably wont be good either
miami plays a very difficult schedule.
i just dont know if i agree with this.
Well think about it, Notre Dame is coming off it's most productive season in years for one. For two, they had an exceptional recruiting class and are having good play makers return next year.
ReplyDeleteUCF went 11-2 and beat Georgia.
Miami is super young and returning basically everyone but Hankerson. Al Golden seems to be fired up and in turn will fire up the players.
This is just speculation and prediction not fact. We'll have to wait and see.
